Connections
Joint – variable
• Height can be adjusted with threaded bolts
• Connection countered with a nut when height is adjusted correctly
• Connection of bearing body detachable
Joint – high stiffness – variable
• Height can be adjusted with threaded bolts
• Connection countered with a nut when height is adjusted correctly
• Connection of bearing body not detachable
• Increased stiffness due to flat contact of the joint partners (joint partners lapped in pairs)
Joint – high stiffness – fixed
• Height non-adjustable with this connection
• Increased stiffness due to flat contact of the joint partners (joint partners lapped in pairs)
• Maximum stiffness under the joint connections
Fixed connection
• Air bearing directly screwed onto the component being guided
• Air bearing bodies ground in parallel
• No loss of stiffness from joint connection
• Fast and simple assembly
• No re-calibration of axis when bearing bodies are replaced
Pistons
• Piston connections are used for pneumatic preloading of fixed or bearings with joint connection to achieve recommended load capacity
• Air bearings with piston connection are always installed opposite air bearings without piston connection
Special connection
Besides standard connections, AeroLas also offers customised solutions: geometry and material are specially tailored to your application
